ABOUT THIS CD

I wrote the songs on Here Inside over a period of time between 2008 and 2012. The idea for the CD came together in 2012 as I started performing these songs in my acoustic duo with Jeanne O'Neill. Most of it was recorded in my home on July 4th weekend of last year and the music is performed by me and Jeanne. It is an electronic-only release. I hope you enjoy it!

PROCEEDS

I'm happy to say that half of the proceeds of this CD will go to A Partnership For Change (APFC). APFC is non-profit outreach organization that deals with the issue of domestic violence. APFC is co-directed by my sister, Gloria Sgrizzi, and by my good friend Allison Bressler. Please visit their website for more information.

BIO

I recorded my first CD, The Flowers Fall, in 2000. National Public Radio (NPR) featured the song She's A Millionaire on its All Songs Considered Open Mic webcast. The Flowers Fall was a collection of Americana and folk originals. My next CD, Under The Sun (2004), was a little more country and bluegrass-inspired. In 2006, I worked with some great local musicians to produce my first electric CD, Electro-Magnetic. All of these are available at my CD Baby page.

ACOUSTIC DUO

I currently perform with an acoustic duo known as "O'Neill & Martin." Jeanne O'Neill is an outstanding vocalist and singer-songwriter from the area and I'm very happy to be working with her. We have a ReverbNation page that we hope you'll visit so you can see when and where we're playing. We'd love to see you! We cover a wide range of artists and styles from the 1950s to the present.

PRESS

Some kind words from the locals...

  • Indie Music
"Thomas Martin makes the kind of country music that causes you to fondly remember Gram Parsons."
  • The Aquarian Weekly
"The Flowers Fall is a must-have collection. Martin's gentle, bittersweet muse includes comfortable, well-worn folk, country and bluegrass influences on 11 extremely well-written alt.dot tracks."
  • Rockland World Radio
"I thoroughly enjoyed the basic honest quality of the songwriting and recording performance [Under The Sun]."
  • Radio Crystal Blue
"Electro-Magnetic has great tunes - a good dose of old-fashioned rock and roll and Americana. 'She's Electric' is an outstanding song; 'Love Her Like Crazy' is my favorite."
